Bart BradshawJ. Bart Bradshaw, CPA

Bart and his family came to the Methow Valley in 1983 and he has had an accounting practice in Winthrop since that time. It started out small with just a handful of accounts and in 1999, he merged Susan L. Peterson’s practice with his and now the company serves nearly 700 clients. Bart specializes in helping small businesses achieve their tax and accounting goals. He prides himself with keeping up with the most current tax events that help small businesses and he feels the quality of our service is equal to, or better than, many CPA firms in large cities. In addition to being the principal of his accounting firm, he owns a family business in town which his wife, Velma, manages. They have eight grown children – Danielle, Sarah, Rachelle, Melissa, Madison, Megan, Bailey, and Parker. Bart served eight years on the local Methow Valley School Board and currently serves on the board of the Methow Rodeo Association and consults for several other boards. He is very active in his church and donates many hours to charitable causes. Bart is a 1979 graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In his spare time he enjoys riding his horses and water skiing with his family.


Susan Peterson

Susan received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and an MBA in Accounting from the University of Washington. She became a CPA in 1979 and gained accounting experience working for both a local and a national CPA firm in Seattle. She worked as the controller of a large Seattle law firm before opening her own accounting practice in Winthrop in 1983. Since selling her practice to Bart Bradshaw in 1999, she has continued to work for the combined firm. Susan served on the Methow Valley School Board for seven years and is currently the treasurer of the Methow Valley Education Foundation.

 


Debra HofmanDebra Hofmann

Debra has been with J. Bart Bradshaw’s accounting firm since 1998.  She received an Associates accounting degree in 1987, and then worked as an accountant for three different companies before starting here.  Debra is proficient with QuickBooks as well as tax software. 







Leslie LutherLeslie Luther

Leslie received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado in 1992.  She worked for Destination Hotels & Resorts as controller while in Colorado.  Once she moved to the Methow Valley she has worked for several companies handling everything from operations to accounting.  In the spring of 2007 she was hired to join J. Bart Bradshaw's firm for both accounting and tax preparation.  Leslie spends her free time enjoying the beauty of the North Cascades..





Paul PetersonPaul Peterson, CPA

Paul is a native of Tacoma, WA where he grew to love the outdoors through his participation in the Boy Scouts of America and in earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He visited Winthrop many times during his scouting adventures in the Okanogan Forest and at Ross Lake. He spent time abroad in Peru and Bolivia serving a church mission. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University where he met Melissa Bradshaw—the most beautiful Bradshaw girl. Upon graduating, he went to work for Moss Adams LLP, and later PwC. In 2013, Paul & Melissa moved to Winthrop to purchase the Hotel Rio Vista and raise their boys; Leath, Wes, and Koen. That year, Paul joined Bart Bradshaw’s firm and enjoys assisting clients with their tax and accounting needs. He currently volunteers as the Treasurer of the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Winthrop Lodging Tax Advisory Committee.


Paula Evans-DuncanPaula Evans-Duncan

Paula moved to the Methow Valley in the summer of 1983. Her professional experience includes working with the public in retail sales and hospitality, along with office and other customer care environments. She also worked for The Methow Valley News as a graphic designer for nearly 12 years during the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2010, she had the opportunity to go back to school and graduated, with honors, in June of 2012 from Wenatchee Valley College Omak. She earned an Associates in Technical Sciences Degree in Accounting and an Associates of Technical Sciences Degree in Business. Paula came to work for J. Bart Bradshaw’s accounting firm in June of 2013.

Jillian received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 2016 from Lewis-Clark State College. She has worked as an accountant  for a mental health hospital for 5 years. She moved back to the valley, where she grew up, and was hired with J. Bart Bradshaw's firm in July 2016. Jillian has knowledge of QuickBooks and tax preparation.
